Professional Home Organizer in Montgomery, Skillman & Hillsborough, NJ
Montgomery, Skillman and Hillsborough share the Somerset County farmland and family neighborhoods between Princeton and the Sourland Mountain. The Organizing NJ team helps families here organize busy homes, downsize after decades in one house and pack for a move. We plan the work with you, and a full-time team carries it through.
How We Help
Family homes with full playrooms and pantries
Playrooms, kids' closets, mudrooms and pantries carry the most traffic in a busy household. We sort with you, set up simple zones and label every bin so kids and adults can put things back.
Downsizing from a long-time Montgomery or Hillsborough home
After 20 or 30 years in one house, there is a lot to sort. We go room by room with you, decide what moves, what goes to family and what is donated, then pack and set up your new place.
Moving in, moving out or moving far
Our full-time team packs most houses in 3-4 days and unpacks just as fast. For long-distance moves, we send the receiving team a color-coded plan so every box lands in the right room.
Garages, basements and home offices
Two-car and three-car garages, finished basements and home offices fill up fast. We clear, sort and zone them with shelving, hooks and labeled containers so you can find things in seconds.
Getting a home ready to sell
Before listing photos, we declutter rooms, edit closets and pack non-essentials, working to your realtor's timeline.
Homes We Know

Montgomery and Hillsborough were both incorporated in 1798, and both grew fast in the late 20th century. Montgomery went from 3,851 residents in 1960 to 17,481 in 2000. Hillsborough, the largest town in Somerset County by area, grew from 7,584 to 36,634 in the same years, and much of today's housing in both towns went up during that growth. Older homes remain too: the Blawenburg and Bridgepoint historic districts are in Montgomery, Neshanic in Hillsborough, and the River Road Historic Rural District runs along the Millstone River through both. In Skillman, the former State Village for Epileptics, opened in 1898, is now the 247-acre Skillman Park.
That mix shapes our work. Newer family homes tend to have large garages, finished basements and walk-in pantries that fill up over the years, so we zone them and label everything. Older farmhouses and village homes often have small closets and tight attic stairs, so we build storage that fits. Whatever the house, we start with a walk-through and a written plan.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a professional organizer cost in Montgomery or Hillsborough, NJ?
Our rate is $100 per hour per organizer. Larger projects use 24-, 36- or 48-hour packages. Most projects start at $1,200 for a small space, and our Signature package starts at $2,400.
Can you organize a playroom or pantry in a Montgomery or Skillman home?
Yes. We sort everything, group it by how your family uses it, and set up clear, labeled containers. A playroom or pantry is often a good first project at the $1,200 starting point.
Do you work in older farmhouses and village homes in Hillsborough and Montgomery?
Yes. Older houses often have small closets, steep attic stairs and few built-ins. We plan storage around the house you have, using freestanding shelving, over-door systems and clear labels.
My garage is full. Where do you start?
We pull everything out, sort it into keep, donate and discard, then zone what stays: tools, sports, garden and seasonal. Shelving and wall hooks get items off the floor.
How long does it take to pack a house?
With our full-time team, most houses are packed in 3-4 days depending on size. Unpacking and setup take about the same.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not always. We need you for decluttering decisions. For packing and unpacking, many clients hand us the keys and we send updates.
Do you take donations?
Yes. One trunkload of donations is hauled away at no charge. Larger haul-away is available for a fee (we don't remove furniture, mattresses or appliances).
